Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

I specialize in anxiety treatment for adults aged 18 and older who are struggling with issues of grief and loss. My training includes Prolonged Exposure Therapy and AEDP Level 1, and I am also EMDR certified. These evidence-based treatments are effective for PTSD, trauma, and other distressing life events. With a focus on attachment wounds, I utilize attachment based therapy to help alleviate distress in everyday circumstances by combining these approaches and incorporating concepts from a parts model of therapy. Additionally, I offer telehealth services, making it easier for you to access support. Feel free to browse the articles and videos to gain a deeper understanding of what to expect from our work together.
I believe that every individual has the potential for change and healing. My philosophy centers on creating a safe space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings and rediscover the true self that exists in all of us. Healing the pain that comes when we lose sight of who we really are using the power of self determination to guide us in the process is my primary focus. In addition to being in private practice since 2018, I have over 20 years of experience working in various outpatient community service settings. Providing substance abuse treatment, anxiety treatment, and working with children and families, as well as offering social work services in local hospitals, has contributed to the values and skills I use in my day-to-day practice with clients. I look forward to helping people and am most energized by those who are ready to experience an improved sense of self.

I’m glad you’re here. I have created this website to provide a place for people to read about topics in mental health that may be of interest or be a source of support for managing distress - just another platform to increase visibility of these issues and the resources that are out there for those who need it. It’s also a great place to get a sense of who I am as a provider. It can be used as a means of reaching out to me.
It’s important to remember this is not meant to be a way to communicate urgent needs or to get help in an emergency. If you are in need of urgent mental health care, you are best served calling a local crisis support hotline, such as Advocates, Inc. at 1-800-640-5432, dialing 988 for the Suicide and Crisis lifeline, or by going to your local emergency room.
I welcome you to browse the articles and videos on this site. Please feel free to message me privately with any questions or if you wish to schedule an appointment with me.
Take care and be well - Amanda
